# FRACTIONAL CFO

### Position Highlights

Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a nationally recognized, employee-owned consulting firm to find an experienced Fractional CFO for its growing CFO Advisory practice. This individual will partner directly with business owners, CEOs, and leadership teams at middle-market companies, primarily in manufacturing and construction, to solve complex financial and operational challenges and deliver measurable results.

This is a strategic, advisory role rather than transactional accounting. It offers an accomplished CFO variety across multiple organizations, executive-level influence, and the opportunity to help shape a rapidly expanding practice.

 Key Responsibilities

 Qualifications

- Serve as an embedded Fractional CFO and strategic advisor to owners, CEOs, and executive teams at privately held, middle-market companies
- Develop and execute financial strategy and long-range planning initiatives
- Improve forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and KPI reporting
- Lead board-level and executive-level financial reporting and presentations
- Strengthen financial controls, governance, and processes, and drive finance system and automation improvements
- Mentor accounting and advisory staff and collaborate with tax, technology, HR, and FP&A specialists to deliver integrated solutions
- Support the growth of the CFO Advisory practice across manufacturing, construction, and government contracting markets

- Prior experience as a CFO, Divisional CFO, or VP of Finance
- Manufacturing, construction, and/or government contracting industry experience
- Experience with organizations of approximately $50M–$500M in revenue
- Proven record of improving financial reporting, controls, forecasting, and overall performance
- Strong executive presence with the ability to manage multiple client engagements and work both strategically and hands-on
- CPA strongly preferred; public accounting or consulting experience a plus
